So I just watched the ESO 10 minute video from IGN, I swear they were talking about SWTOR… No WAR… No AoC… No *insert pay to play MMO*… After all, once you hit level cap you need to sucker keep people interested so they play for the rest of their life.
I don’t know how many times I’ve heard the, “after level ____ that is when the game REALLY begins” speech. The MMO industry needs to think of a different fish hook to keep people interested and not expect millions of players for years and years.
One positive thing I took away from the video is the Mega, Ultimate, Blam, Blam server technology that seems to know where you want to be at all times. They should call it HAL server technology.
Of course I’ll play the game, but just like GW2, I will not be following it fanatically. I want to be pleasantly surprised for a month.
